Phantom Blade Zero Yu'er quests: different boss deadlines

Finish Apprentice Healer before defeating Jing Ye, The Outlaw. Do not wait until the final Crimson Forest boss to return the herbs. For the Phantom Blade Zero Yu'er questline, A Healer's Mercy and the initial Flesh Lily delivery have a later cutoff: Bai Chilian, Lady of the Twin Serpents. The final Flesh Lily interaction takes place afterward in Pangzhen.

The Healer's Legacy requires all three Tales: Flesh Lily, Apprentice Healer and A Healer's Mercy. Collecting the ingredients, accepting the medicine errand or giving away the first flower is not the same as completing the whole chain.

Start Apprentice Healer without waiting for Hua

Your first conversation with Yu'er by the riverside in Weeping Creek Valley starts her search for Flesh Lily. She later moves beside Forge at the Outpost after Peng Meng, The Axemaster. Clear the chained courtyard using Dread Axe, then ask her about gathering herbs to obtain the medicinal recipe.

The two early Phantom Blade Zero Yu'er requests are separate. You do not need to win Hua's fight before accepting Apprentice Healer. Take the recipe when Yu'er appears at the Outpost, even if you intend to return to the flower arena later.

The recipe requires Blood-Stopper Vine, Congealeaf and Blemish Goldweed. Their map markers do not bypass the gates into the lower valley: one pickup is available on the approach to the plains, while the other two require your post-Hunt return.

Collect the herbs in traversal order, not marker order

Blood-Stopper Vine: search below the stone bridge

Start from The Axemaster's Holding Cell and move toward the stone bridge on the way to Creek Valley Plains Entrance. Descend into the stream beneath it rather than searching the upper road. Clear the enemies and follow the water to the herb pickup.

Congealeaf: stay above the lower settlement

After defeating The Hunt, use Hunter's Chain Sickle to retrieve the Sha-Chi Tower Base Camp Gate Key from the tower's upper roof. Unlock the gate beside Creek Valley Plains Entrance Bell and travel into the optional lower valley. At Long Pillar Overlook Bell, take the Rusted Loong Key from the chest behind it.

Cross the bridge and follow the road east past the watchtower. Keep to the elevated route across the scaffolding and wall-run section instead of dropping into the settlement. Congealeaf is beside the large rock formation opposite the locked cave entrance. The cave door is your landmark for the herb, not somewhere you need to enter to pick it up.

Blemish Goldweed: go through the keyed cave

Use the Rusted Loong Key on that cave door and follow the passage to Weeping Creek Long Pillar. From the large dragon monument, take the northwest path and check its right-hand side for Blemish Goldweed. If you have already activated the bell there, you can travel directly back to it.

Return all three herbs to Yu'er at the Outpost to receive Medicine Case. The accessory increases the health restored by medicines by 20%; it is a healing reward, not the flower required for her father.

Herb access splits at the cave door: Congealeaf is outside on the elevated route, while Blemish Goldweed requires the keyed passage.

Hua's weapon reward is not the flower pickup

For the flower branch of the Phantom Blade Zero Yu'er questline, begin at Valley Sha-Chi Tower 1st Floor Bell. Go around the tower's right side to the rear opening and take the descending wooden ramp into the cavern. Follow the left-hand route uphill to Hua, Deadly Betrothed.

Defeat Hua to receive Scarlet Wraithblade, then search the corpses by the altar where she stood. Collect the Twin Flesh Lilies before leaving. Winning the fight awards the weapon, but the flowers require their own interaction in the arena.

Go back to Yu'er beside Forge and hand over the flower. She gives you the other lily as a keepsake, and Flesh Lily remains active because her father's treatment has not happened yet. Continue the story with that item rather than returning underground to hunt for another blossom.

Treat the thieves in two trips: caves first, lodge second

Find Yu'er at Thieves' Camp in Crimson Forest after Jing Ye and accept A Healer's Mercy. You need to administer her medicine to four wounded men, then return to her. The useful route distinction is between the Outlaw Trap underground passages and the Cliffside Lodge trip that supplies the dungeon key.

Outlaw Trap: cave patient and crank-locked cellar

Travel to Outlaw Trap Bell and enter the cave to the west. Treat the wounded thief inside, then continue to the end of the cave system to collect the Crimson Forest Tunnel Crank. Leaving immediately after the first treatment means missing the tool for the next patient.

Return to the bell and put the crank into the stone mechanism to open the hatch. Drop into the cellar and descend the ladder. Follow the underground route toward the treasure chamber to reach the second patient along the wall. Give him the medicine before heading out.

Cliffside Lodge: take the dungeon key during the third treatment

From Thieves' Camp, take the northwest road past Red Serpent House and Cliff of Longing to Cliffside Lodge. If the underground entrance is closed, collect the Crimson Forest Cellar Crank from the lodge's upper floor and use it on the mechanism inside the house. Enter the basement and inspect the glowing corpse at the start of the tunnel leading outdoors. Collect the Thieves' Camp Dungeon Key here; it opens the route to the fourth patient.

The lodge's wounded thief is on the lower route outside, reached through the tunnel and ladder approach. Treat him before returning to camp. This combines the medicine delivery with the key pickup instead of making two separate journeys to the lodge.

Thieves' Camp: open the dungeon and report back

Use the dungeon key at the locked entrance on the southeast side of Thieves' Camp. The fourth wounded thief is just inside. After treating him, speak with Yu'er to finish the errand and receive Calming Gourd.

Calming Gourd lets medicine use recover you from guard-breaks and prevents Sha-Chi consumption for three seconds. This Phantom Blade Zero Yu'er reward differs from Medicine Case's stronger healing.

Do not leave the first cave without its crank or the lodge without the dungeon key: each tool opens the next treatment route.

Phantom Blade Zero Yu'er finale: the house in Pangzhen

Progress through Pangzhen until you defeat Chang Hong, The Thunder Spear. Yu'er's home is directly ahead after the encounter. Enter and speak to her father; the remaining Flesh Lily is used to revive him and complete that Tale.

Complete both earlier medicinal requests as well to unlock The Healer's Legacy.
